Hacking help a dad?

hi guys...please help a dad.
i have the following:
-US wii with ver.2.0u displayed in system settings.
-sandisk 512 meg card with reader for pc.
-original wii zelda t/p.
my questions:
-i hear of down grading...how do i upgrade?
-what would you do if you were me?
-if you install a usb hdd can you rip directly from wii dvddrive to usb hdd and play from hdd?

just looking for the latest and greatest way of doing things before i mess with my boys wii.
again virgin wii running 2.0.

The same downgrade tools you've read about can also upgrade you to 3.2 or any other version you want to be on.

And yes, the USB Loader can dump your games from their discs onto an HDD.

You can either go to 3.2 and install Starfall to block unwanted disc updates (so you don't loose any hacks) or you could lok into the 4.0 update tools and Preloader. The latter option is a little more complicated but in the end you'll have your wii all the way up to date and with all hacks installed.

ok right now we need to install the hbc ill walk you throught it but u can find videos of it on youtube

first we have to play zelda create a game save when the fmv (full motion video) starts press the - button to skip then use the pause screen to save you game and evit out to the system menu

back in the day you would just launch t/p and walk backwards...what happened?
