Welcome all, just thought I would say hello.

God, I thought I would never locate a DS forum worth mention. Hope I am not mistaken in that description [IMG]

I'm an old fart, not a kid, and my interests will likely begin and end with the Nintendo DS.
I can handle the types of games the teen crowd likes, but if my moniker is any indication, I'm more interested in the sort of games an adult will entertain.

I am mostly waging (what I feel is a futile one) campaign to get more game companies making more games that won't turn off an adult gamer. Yes I realize my daughter might like all those nauseating puppy games, but what about some games for me?

I also prefer games with considerable replay value. I don't really want to get a quest game that plays out in a handful of days, and then ceases to be of any worth to me. Much as my son might think Final Fantasy 3 was a great DS title, it's not really my thing.

Ok I'll save anything else to say, for the main forums [IMG]

Of course he's not 99 years old. And putting that as your age is more something a junior high student would do, not an adult.

Welcome old fart, from another old fart, in fact quite likely an older fart unless you really are 99.

I have a box of SSI and Avalon Hill strategy games for the Commodore 64 in the basement.

    They call for you...

Welcome, fellow long toothed gentleman. There are some fine upstanding members of this community (present company excluded) that should make it a useful viewing experience. You just have to filter out a lot of crap and learn to sift for the good discussions.

Hmmm, if you have a son that enjoyed FF3 DS, maybe you are older than mthrnite.

I'm 46, the date of birthday thing is my way of saying I'm tired of filling in profiles. Notice it is the first day of the first month too [IMG]

It becomes plenty apparent how old I am when you read my posts.

I never use netlingo, I never abbreviate anything, and I speak entirely in full sentences [IMG]

About the only smiley I use is the original one as well.

And I know next to knowing about shooters and MMOs.

Plus, if you ask me anything that a teenager would know, odds are I won't have the answer.

And chances are all the women I think are "hot" are grandmothers. Got any pics of your mom [IMG]
