How's it going folks! Well it looks like I'm back for a little while! Unfortunately everything went to shit last week and I'm once again unemployed! lol And no, I didn't slap my boss or anything like that. heh

I started getting really ill at work a couple of weeks ago and they sent me home. I was off for a few days, the doc said I was ok and when I got back the same thing happened. So they had to let me go. I wasn't able to keep food down and there was alot of chunk blowing, then last Friday I got rushed into hospital. Got released this evening. It turns out I've got some kind of problem with my gallbladder and I've got some abnormalities with my liver. I can eat and stuff again now so I can't really complain too much! lol

They don't know exactly what's wrong with my liver and they're waiting on the results of a CT scan that I had this afternoon. I've gotta go back in in the next couple of weeks to find out exactly what the problem is so until then I've been ordered to stay at home and get some r&r so here I am again for a little while! heh It's not cancer or anything like that so I'm not all that worried, it'll probably just be a case or figuring out exactly what the problem with my liver is and then removing the gallbladder and some more rest and relaxation til I'm my usual bouncy self again.

All I can say is I'm incredibly thankful I live in a country with socialized health care. I've spent a week of being very well looked after and it hasn't left me in debt for the rest of my life, and the surgery and recovery will be free of charge as well. The nurses were great, and some of them pretty damned tasty as well! I'm just gutted I was too ill to try and convince some of them to give me some "extra attention"! heh

So how have all you great tempers been while I've been away?

Cheers Sal! Yeah everything should be fine with my gallbladder, all they need to do is pop it out and I'll be back to my old self. The problems with the liver could even be related to the gallbladder problem so I'm not all that worried. It was just pretty damned painful for about a week. I've been told I can't eat some of my favourite foods for a while tho, that's the most gutting thing about it! No pizzas, kebabs and stuff til after the surgery.

lol I'll be haunting the temp again for at least another couple of moths. They said the surgery is pretty standard and I'll only be in hospital for a few days, so I'll be back for a while after that. How's life been treating your good self mate?

lol Not dead, just pumped full of morphine!

It's not too bad about the job, they were impressed enough by me that they told me when it's all sorted out and I'm well enough to work agan to give them a ring and they'll see if they can find me another one in the kitchen. It's still pretty sucky but at least there might still be one there for me.

Yeah, I'd have been screwed if it wasn't for the NHS. I didn't really find it all that slow but I didn't really need any specialists or anything which is proably where everything starts taking a while.

I will do mate, it'll be a couple of weeks before I go back in the said so I'll be around til then. They said the op is keyhole surgery so I don't even need to be opened up properly or anything so I'll only be in for a week maybe then home for 6 weeks and I can get back to normal. God bless modern surgical techniques! lol

I'd shave, but it hides my chelsea grin so well!

You're not the only one who wanted me to return with tales of drug fueled debauchery! I'd just starting making some progress with a very tastey blond chick as well. I was hoping to kee a "video diary" of the action and everything!

I'm feeling loads better now to be honest, I didn't realize how much not being able to eat took it out of you. How the fuck anorexics do it I ain't got a clue! After 9 days I felt like a George Romero extra. How's your back at the mo mate?

So it was you who sent me that anonymous letter filled with white powder!

I can't help but be in a good mood, I thought it might be cancer or something and it's not, it's a simple operation that'll get my health back on track so what's there to complain about! Losing the job sucks but they've told me that when I'm better if I phone them up and there's a spot in the kitchen it's mine so it's not like there's a complete black cloud hanging over the future. Besides which, you've gotta try and stay optimistic - with all the negativity out there someone's gotta try and keep the positive balance.
