So I have a HDD with about 36 games on it, i've been using it for months with no problem via wiiflow. Yesterday I go to play and i notice the green light on the HDD suddenly turns red and the game freezes. Doesn't matter which game it is. I have to manually turn off the wii and restart the HDD. It seems like the hard drive only stays on for about a minute or 2 before "stopping?!"

I hooked it up to my comp and used wii backup manager and the games show up but after a few minutes when the light goes red it freezes up again

ANY ideas?

Gambia, The
the cable, drive or enclosure is broken

test another cable

if that doesnt help hook it up to a pc via sata/esata/ide depending on what the drive is (usb/fw wont do it)
and run a "smart" (acronym!) tool to see whats going on
sorry but I dont know the name of a windows one and smartctl probably isnt for you
