Hacking HDD list

I have seen this once before on these forums. I do not remember where and I have done a search for it first. I would not be asking if I had not searched first. I am looking for a list that contains the compatibility of different External Hard-Drives and Flash Drives. This list has helped me once before and I cannot find it again. Does anyone know where I can find this list? I know certain USB External Hard Drives work well with the Wii and I am looking to buy one but need the list. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i agree with deadlyfoez, i got a 750gb WD my passport essential and it works perfectly (used to use the 500gb, and that worked perfectly also)

I've seen quite the list of reasons as to why a Seagate FreeAgent Go trumps the WD My Passport. The biggest issue is spindown.

Stay away from the 1.5TB MyBooks. They don't work on a wii (USB Loaders crash or hang), or even format to WBFS on a PC. The 1TB model, does reportedly work but I have no experience with it.

I'd stick with a Seagate, and use one with a wall wart for a power source. The USB powered ones make the wii run hot. Someone I know actually burned out the USB ports on their wii. Nothing bus-powered works on it now, including official accessories.
