Okay< i am trying to use a 1T Seagate drive and my problem is, my external drive does not have a power switch. The drive wakes on USB demand. So, whenever I turn the Wii on, the USB drive will also wakup, but it fails to initialize... I have to unplug the USB external drive evertime I go to utilize the drive... Is there a work around?

get the same thing with my 750gb seagate, the only solutions i can think of are either cut the power cor and add a switch or take a 5v trigger from the wii and switch on with a relay/swtch.
alternativly you could switch the enclosure
