I finally manged to install HBG shop and download a couple a games. Upon opening them I get an error 'Software closed because an error occurred'. I've updated sigpatches, atmosphere should be current as I just installed the CFW through SDcardsetup. I'm on OFW 8.1, SD Card is FAT32 with emuMCC. Any tips or fixes or should I start again fresh?

I've done a complete wipe and reformat of SD card and copied everything new and clean to SD card - still getting error 'the software was closed because an error occured'. Any suggestions? I'm on OFW 8.1, not sure if that should be updated?

If you're using an emuMMC, do the following:
  1. Make sure the SD card is FAT32.
  2. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  3. Download the latest Atmosphere
  4. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
  5. Download these signature patches (for Atmosphere v0.13.0)
  6. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card
  7. Set "emummc!enabled = 1" in emummc/emummc.ini
  8. Download the 10.1.0 update and put the 10.1.0 folder onto the root of your SD card
  9. Download ChoiDujourNX and put it into the switch folder on your SD card
  10. Put the SD into your Switch
  11. Enter RCM
  12. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary
  13. Check that you've booted into your emuMMC
  14. If you're in your emuMMC, open the Homebrew Launcher, preferably using title override (R on a game instead of using the photo album)
  15. Boot ChoiDujourNX
  16. Select the 10.1.0 update. Choose the 10.1.0 exFAT option, even though you're using FAT32. If you don't want AutoRCM, make sure you untick it before installing the update.

Is this a known solution or just worth a try?

There are a lot of variables at play, and this eliminates as many variables as I can think of. I don't know your exact setup. Following the above steps is highly recommended.
Ok thanks for the help, I'll give it a try tomorrow and update you.
