So I started off by simply burning the PAL iso. When I tried to play the game all I got was a blank screen and unresponsive wiimote.

Then I extracted the main.dol from the iso with wiiscrubber. I used Generic Wii Patcher to change the video mode from pal to ntsc.

However when I try to play it, the game loads but the screen is flickering like crazy.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

The simple solution is to use the us-ntsc version.

I had this problem, but with the regions the other way round. It wouldn't run from my Disc Channel, but runs fine from a Back-up Launcher, try that?

It's easiest if you have a PAL-capable TV. The secret is that Nintendo only locked out PAL from NTSC systems, not removed it. So homebrew users (and pirates) can output PAL imports in their original format.

Well I just have an NTSC tv. I've gotten one to work but the screen is flickering and the color is off.

Minor success. Using NeoGamma I got the flickering to stop but now its only in black in white.

And when ever I try to force NTSC in the video option I get a green screen freeze.

I dont know if this will help, but when I use NeoGamma with a pal game, I just use the default settings and they work fine. NTSC wii and tv by the way.
