Hacking Having problems with my R4DS

My R4DS has crashed once in 8 months, but in the last week it freezed 3 times on me...
In the last 15 minutes, it crashed twice on me.
I hope its nothing permanently, but still its damn annoying.
Any tips/help?

Never happened to me...what game were you playing? Was it compatible with the R4 version/SD card?

Backup your files and try to reformat/defrag the SDcard. If it still does those things, ask for a replacement.

Were you doing anything while it froze? I've had my R4 frozen when I closed the cover for an extended period of time.

that happened to me more often before. but i got a fix for it.

what i did is:
-open the r4ds
-put a small, folded piece of paper on the backside of the chip. this will push the contacts(the metal things that allow the DS to read the cartridge) toward the vertical holes.
-screw the panel back


don't put too much paper though. just tear a .5 x .5 inch of post-it or printing paper. fold it 3 times and put it inside.
your r4 will probably be in a tight fit inside the DS slot but its all well worth it.
