Hacking Having a little trouble hacking New 3DS XL on 11.8

What does use an all versions method mean? It doesn't let me choose that option anywhere? Should I just update to 11.9?

Also, the Frogminer is all version, as you can always update to 11.9.

The reason I didn't think that was it was because it says "ntrboot requires a compatible flashcart" or "installing boot9strap (Hardmod)" I don't need a hardmod.

I'll just update to 11.9 and do frogminer.

Oh crap, I bought it used just got it today and it's got parential controls on internet settings.

boot to recovery (A+R+L+Up) and factory reset. That shouldn't require it.

Hrmm when I do that it comes on and asks me to update. But apparently the previous person already had downloaded 11.9 and I installed it. Why would it want an update if it's on 11.9? I checked in settings.

This makes no sense. It always asks to update and it let me enter internet settings but it says it's up to date. Then I turn it off hold a+r+l+up and it asks me to update again.

I asked the guy on ebay to give me the parental code, hopefully he knows it.

Are you sure it's the same a+r+l+up for a new nintendo 3ds xl? It's almost impossible to do it with my hands and hit the power button because it's so big, and like I said when I do it, it just asks for an update that is unnecessary.

I googled it and that won't work because you have to enter the email address to get the info to get the master key. I'm going to send them another message and tell them this though.

It's actually 5 digits just tried 00000 didn't work. Even in his ebay listing he said it was for his son I'm sure he put a code only he knows for a reason. I'll just have to get it from him or if I can figure out why I can't get into recovery...

You have everything you need to make this work you just need to use your brain but you are asking people to hold your hand. sys date is whatever calender day your 3ds is set to atm(top right of the dashboard screen?). you get the inquiry number when you click no internet when reseting parent code. put that number in at the salthax site given and it will give you a reset code. then update to 11.9 and use frogminer.

If the clock is set correctly, the system date is the current real date. Home Menu shows the date on the upper screen in the top right corner. You get the inquiry number if you go to System Settings, Parental Controls. Instead of calling Nintendo you use the generator.

No reason to be a jackass especially when you're wrong. I can't change the internet settings, when I did A+R+L+Up it asked me to connect me to the internet and it let's me there only to update but when I go into system settings and choose internet guess what it asks for? The parental code. So how am I supposed to have no internet now genius? Do you really think that everything you just said was common knowledge? Piss off.

ok dude no worries ignore away but i truly meant what i said and was not trying to be a dick(there are lots of those here but they would not have helped you), when you ask questions on a technical/hacking forum like where do i find the system date you are not using your brain(or google). People pointed you in the right direction but you posting back within moments and haven't put in the time/effort to understand their advice.
Thats looking for hand holding. When you come back with questions on frogminer/luma/fbi etc do a search and give some time between posts, research and educate yourself.
