I bought a switch around a year ago to make sure i have the first generation console so that I'm able to hack it in the future, and it is currently sitting untouched at firmware 4.1.0. I did some research and realized that it is now hackable on the latest firmware if you have a first generation console.
I know that it is best to stay on the lowest possible, but i recently bought a 256gb microsd, and it's prompting me to update for SDXC support. I'm wondering if there is anything I should know about before updating, or should I not (are there any benefits to staying lower firmware)? Thank you. I am planning to following the NH switch guide to hack my switch.
I also heard that emunand (emuMMC) is now possible, so isn't it better to be on the latest firmware so that I'm able to still play online on sysnand?
