Regardless, I'm going to pre-order it whenever the hell I get a job and enough money. As well as a 3DS.

This. I have already finished Pokémon Black with the english patch and it is a pretty well done job. Just some little thingies like WiFi or random conversations that were left untranslated, but with basic japanese, common sense and google translator you can work it out well.
It's better to wait for Pokemon "Gray" (:
