Wii's aren't designed to play backup games, thus why the general public doesnt know. Also not a lot of people know about the USB Loader.

Since the Wii is pretty much new over here in Malaysia, and backups (Bootlegs) are the thang in Malaysia, my friends who came over were like

"Come on, fucken put a disc! I wanna play the Wii, not see your hax0rz skillz!"

depends on the friends, my gamer friends are very impressed with what the Wii can do, especially now with the USB Loader.

But I love it when my non gamer friends come over or better yet my mom's or grandparents' friends and I just load up AllTitleLister and look at it all serious and concerned as if I'm doing something oh so important with the Wii then mumble to myself "I see..this IOS needs fixin', this one needs to be updated and the NAND is messed up here so I'll have to patch that" ...of course even I know that makes no sense and the only reason I'm doing it is to fuck with people without them knowing and listening to them prizing me about how smart I am.

    XD

I set up the backup loader on two different wiis for a couple girls that I know, and I gave them each one game. I walked them through how to go online to download other games, and I think that they've done nothing with it other than play the one game that I already gave them.

My mom knew about this before I did. So I'd say the general public does know about this. It's like trying to impress your friends with a DS flash card; no one gives a shit anymore. [IMG]

I am the resident pirate guru in my office. I've successfully softmodded 14 Wii's, total, including my own and the one I got my mom for Christmas.

We have weekly Wii piracy meetings. I take the lightbox projector and beam the Wii on the conference room wall, summon everyone who has a Neo-hacked Wii, and I install and show them how the newest custom IOS or new feature (like the USB loader) works.

The downside to this is now they bug me for everything from their Blackberry to finding Bigfish games for them to play on the office computer on company time. And, I get accused every single time something happens to someone's PC, or when they get a virus, or anything software-related.

The moral of the story is, the duck that quacks the loudest, gets shot first. Keep your Wii Crew small and in the dark.
