I've come to realise that I'm very dissatisfied with my Nintendo collections so of my 50 Wii U games I'm keeping 16 of them and as for 3DS related everything's gone. It's not that the console's bad but the majority of games are mediocre titles and inferior ports. As for the 3DS I'm just not a handheld-guy as I prefer everything on a TV but granted, the 3DS definitely has much better games than the Wii U does.

The rest, i.e, PlayStation and Xbox games I'm keeping them all as those are games which I can replay without feeling depressed, pessimistic or too critical. The latest to this addition was SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge and the negative reviews are 100% accurate.

If Nintendo keeps doing this then I might just skip their next home console.

So how about you guys? Keeping it as is or reorganising it?

Keeping it all the way. I started getting more gamecube games and I feel satisfied for doing it.
Getting WiiU games worth it, and most nintendo related when I can.
GameCube has a great selection of games as well as NES, SNES, Wii and even the Wii U but that's when being picky about the games for it.

Someone like Finngamer doesn't care about if the games are good or not. His brother loves collecting VCRs so they have something in common -- They both buy stuff that no one else does. :P

If anything mine is growing. I try mainly to only get the good or interesting games on a given system. You will never catch me having an entire wall of NES games or something like that.

That said some mod chips, flash carts and emulators could see me lose a collection in a hurry.

I occasionally go through phases where I lose almost all interest in games and end up selling a huge chunk of my collection that I've finished. Not happened for a while though. I'm making good money so I don't need the cash, and I'm usually busy with work or my family so my games last a lot longer these days.

Mostly have stuff available I can rip/transfer to a HDD/flashcart. Luckily I've been able to staff the physical copies somewhere if I happened to need them. At one time I used to buy quite a few niche games for gaming and keeping, but now I mainly buy the most value editions or PC versions via Steam, GoG and the likes. So to sum it up, digital growing, physical stale or lessening.

Yea, I sell my old games every now n then. I usually just beat a game and never touch it again anyways.

Lately I've been keeping my games though. Mainly because they just keep adding to my immense backlog.

I threw away most of the burned CD's I made as a kid last year (I had tons of 'em). There was no reason not to: my backlog of legal games on steam is too large to keep up, and they work with just a few clicks and a download.

For consoles...hardly. I never bought many dozens of those games, so I don't think they're wasting valuable shelf space now. Besides...since my wii is hacked, the chances of me even opening the box is close to none. I didn't buy those games to play those (I already did at that time), but to sponsor the makers.

Pretty much keeping everything here. Installing new shelving to keep everything more organized. If I sold them, I would just end up hating myself.

I did however purge most of my accessories. Goodbye Power Glove. You will be missed.

I've sold MOST of my collection in the last few years. Once I can fully hack a system I normally just sell off my games.

Did this with
NES
SNES
N64
SMS
SG
GB/GBC/GBA
GC
PS1
PS2
Wii

However in the 3DS case...I do buy the games and then rip them.( support the devs)

In a year or so I plan to buy another PS3 and mod that one nad backup all my games and sell my current one with the games.

I don't like owning a lot of juck therefore keeping them on a 1TB drive is a lot cleaner.

On a serious note, I try to keep my collection relatively tidy. I keep the systems and the games that I really love and trade-in the rest to keep a constant flow of games, I think that's a good way to approach the matter if you're a casual collector.

Yeah I can see that being a good way to keep a backlog from building up...plus if you have to move...like I did once(which is why I made my collection smaller) it's just not fun. I have a physical collection of less then 200 games(PS3, 3DS and WiiU, PSVita) and even that I find to large. I will kill my PS3 collection this year...which makes up more the half ans get a PS4 and a hacked PS3.

Think also in terms of size people always have the option of getting rid of the cases and use those CD holders and for D's/3ds just use a tin box.(which is what I do for my D's games that didn't come with cases)

I never had a huge library of games myself, even as a kid. We would always sell games we stopped playing to get new ones, and would only occasionally get them as gifts for holidays and birthdays and such.

Which makes me want to do the opposite of cutting my game collection and making it huge. But, unfortunately, I don't have the space to do so :( So it's on hold until I can find a nice enough place with enough storage for me to go batshit insane with games
