So you're thinking of games that didn't already have a PC port?Console game to PC. Jak & Daxter is a console game that was remastered for PC. Just wondering if there are others.

Jak & Daxter is indeed exceptional in that regard since its engine was released as open source. (I wouldn't really call it "homemade".)

I might have guessed that was based on the PC version, but it looks like it's a remake from scratch based on Unreal 5.Like they showed a demo of Dino Crisis that looks great, but who knows if it'll ever be fully released.
Hm. I guess so. No one seems to have written much about the particular history of the project.it was reverse engineered/decompiled, not released
there's a dedicated website for the project, it's called "opengoal"Hm. I guess so. No one seems to have written much about the particular history of the project.

Yes, thank you, I did actually read the article when I linked to it. I will repeat my comment: no one seems to have written much about the particular history of the project: how they got started, how they decided this was a useful engine to reverse-engineer, what makes it different from other engines, that sort of thing.there's a dedicated website for the project, it's called "opengoal"
