So I have a New 3DS (system version 11.6.0-39U) that’s been off since the switch came out. Is it possible for me to boot up the eshop, buy Pokémon R/B/S/G, download Pokémon Bank, Connect to that so I can send Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon to Pokémon Home? Preferably without updating as I have lots of custom CIA’s for SNES, GBA, etc that I don’t want deleted.
I don’t know if it’s pertinent but I had Luma and FBI on there.

Updating firmware won't delete your CIAs. Just update Luma first, then update firmware and it'll be enough to use eShop and do your business.

Cool. Is there anything else I should be aware of? I prob haven’t been up on this scene since the early days of the Switch either. I know freeshop’s closed, will I be locking myself out of any exploits to the firmware that I’d care of?
