Is that moment of hack over?
Is it even worth talking about the twilight hack anymore? Since it has already been possibly wiped off new wiis.
I only ask because I have a special secret drawer with my TW Hack gear just in case of emergency.

MY bf insist it will still be useful, but after a year I think it will be useless.

Well there's a few more exploits like Brawl that are available.

Well I guess It's really dependent on the person. If you have a Wii and rarely use it and find out about Hacking; the TP hack would come in handy. But most people don't fit into this category and can simply use bannerbomb or the new exploits coming. I'm afraid to say the TP hack is dead.

So if there's a friend who wants the lowdown and hasn't been to 4.0, then Twi is fine.
But those who know their shit now the twilight has now "nuked the fridge".

I can't find any reason to keep using the Twilight hack, we have alternatives that work on newer FWs too [IMG]

So I can tell my BF he is a roving jackass for depending on it then.
Same way he was for hanging on to his Splinter Cell Xbox Hacks he still has in the closet even though we haven't used it for a year.

Bannerbomb completely takes over the Twilight Hack. There's no reason to not have your old legit Twilight Princess save back on your Wii. You know, the one with all the hearts, bottles and completed the monster pit twice, that one?

Bannerbomb does everything Twilight Hack can do plus more (i.e. work on 4.0)..

Well, technically, Microsoft never patched the Splinter Cell hole in the dashboard itself. It can still be used to hack any xbox1 you can find, even though most are used now.

Hell, I used the hack a couple days ago to mod 2 xbox's. And I'm modding another in a few days with the same hack. It remains useful.

Well, bannerbomb itself says it should work with 3.x to 4.0. So I guess if you have a wii with modern firmware that would cover it.

There is still use for the tp hack. If someone has a banner brick and possibly other types of bricks but banner brick for sure then a 3.2 with starfall and recovery menu could be used to boot twilight and uninstall bad wad or do other things that can only be done from HBC (Install or reinstall a system menu etc.)

Now i know about Preloader and BootMii but im still on 3.2 and i still use Starfall and dont see any reason to do differently. So its not useless

In all reality, is the savemiifrii dead too though?
I'm not gonna drop the dance pad cause it was fun laying across it while starting up for the menu.

Savemiifrii is definately not dead. It helped so many people get out of bricks. So other words no, in a thread not that far down I think a guy saved himself by updating his wii via punch out!! disk update. There are many new ways of protection like Bootmii if it is installed as boot2 and have the file on your sd card it will boot up each time you boot your wii and can backup your whole NAND and if your wii bricks 99% of the time bootmii can fix it. A long whoile ago a guy here deleted a bunch of ios's(WARNING: NEVER DELETE IOS'S) and restored using bootmii. You have to install it as boot2 though.
