    i cant believe how easy it was to get mario galaxy 2 up and running just downloaded a wii scrubbed version ran it with usbloader gx and whammo normally with every big nintendo release there is some sort of protection on it which normally takes atleast 2 days to find a work around but this was far to easy ,maybe the big n has finally conceded they cant win...
    great game by the way it surpasses the original by a mile...

    not all nintendo games have to have some type of "anti piracy"

    dumb fools just expected it and hyped up the scene.

    super mario galaxy is exactly the same as the first engine wise, so why would it be difficult to run?

    on that note, why are people tripping about its size?
    most of the mario games dont even pass 3gb.

    You would expect their own games, expecially flagship to have protection, as for size, alot of it is side scrolling with no central hub. So 1.3gigs is sufficent, look at nsmbw, it was 400megs

    I was shocked by this, too. I wonder why they didn't have any kind of protection measures on this one...

    "Flagship" or not, the vast majority of Wii owners don't even know what the Homebrew Channel is, so while piracy sure isn't something Nintendo ignores, it isn't on the top of the list. The first Super Mario Galaxy didn't have anti-piracy, so why would this one?

    Wait a minute, that kind of logic doesn't really make sense. Are you saying that Nintendo had to wait for anti-piracy to be created? If they wanted a game (such as Super Mario Galaxy 1) to have anti-piracy, it would have it, no?

    what u talking about yes it did if i remember correctly super mario galaxy was the first to give the oo2 error meaning it was identifying not a legit disc and we had to wait a week for the wiikey team to upgrade there modchip

    Wait. This is too suspicious. They could be trying to pull an Earthbound AP, the deadliest sort of AP of them all. It lets you play the game, certainly. It even lets you play all the way to the end.

    But then, just when you least suspect it, BAM, save data removed.

    And if they were especially devious, they could have some sort of system process active in the background, removing custom IOS and the like.

    I hereby raise the caution flag.

    No, seriously, have you ever read up on the Earthbound anti-piracy measures way back in the day of the Super Nintendo? Modern emulators are too perfect to trigger it, but you can easily activate it with a Game Genie code.

    big n has been working on smg2 right after they finished smg back than they didn't have ap so it's logical to assume since they have been working on the game for so long it was too late to add any AP in. anyway this game will sell billions regardless [​IMG]

    I would think the easiest way to find out would be a thorough examination of post-SMG2 system's IOSes using DOP-Mii or something like it.

    It saddens me that people have beat the game already. I hope you're planning on buying the game when it's available. You'd think people would at least buy something as awesome as this game looks to be.

    please...you think this puts a dent in ninty profits?

    Lifetime U.S. sales for Wii have topped 27.2 million units. About 71 million units have been sold worldwide.

    How many of those you think are modded? My guess is less than .2 million.
