Gaming Has anyone seen crash in Mario Odyssey?

A family member has been playing this game in the last day, and he's got to a point where the game crashes frequently. Just wondering if anyone has seen the same thing?

I have to wait 'til he gets up to get the error message. Now I'm wondering if the Switch, and not the game, is crashing. I suspected a heat problem at first, so I had him pull the Switch out of the dock and place it in front of a fan while playing. But the console/game was crashing just as frequent despite the cooling effort.

amiibo crashed my pro controller in game.. does that count?

Error code 2002-3580 . Talked to Nintendo support; I have to send the console back for repair. May be a memory corruption issue on the console, and not with the game.
