so if i have an old 3ds and inject its certs.db into my new one, and delete the cert.db on the old on it will make a new cert.db for the old one? so they could both be used online again without concern? you could also share your cert.db with someone else and just farm a new one for yourself?

I only tested deleting it to see what would happen.

So just to add to the latest findings.

will work for the NN Ban (use PID22 not 21), but its SUPER unstable. I used it to create and link a new NNID but when i tried to go to the eshop it just black screened me

edit: tried it again with miiverse and it froze too. So it seems like it undoes the ban but you can't access the eshop or miiverse with it.

It works but it's very unstable. Someone who knows NTR better than I do could probably write a plugin to do it automatically though?

The information we have now is as good as its gonna get. There is no way the internet is going to break down EXACTLY what did and didn't cause bans, why some people can access Miiverse and others can't. Nothing on the internet is ever 100% fully confirmed. There will always be idiots that THINK they did something, but end up posting wrong information. The best you can do is look at the majority and make an educated assumption.

yeah, I already seen the main cause. I was only kind of irritated of how some people spreading rumours just because some people banned because of playing online and they are jealous of people who received their pre ordered cart early.

Ok so I've restored my ability to play online BUT I'm still banned from the NN.

Here's what I did -

1) dumped certs from one 3DS and injected into the banned one
2) dumped LocalFriendCodeSeed_B from one 3DS and injected into the banned one
3) injected a blank nnidsave.bin into the banned 3DS
4) injected a modified secureinfo into the banned 3DS


Edit: YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, WE HAVE NO IDEA IF THERE WILL BE NEGATIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS ON THE DONOR SYSTEM OR ON THE BANNED SYSTEM.

I'm about to do exactly this, with my o3ds as the donor to a n3ds. Any advice on what I should use for the serial value in the secureinfo file? Does it have to start with QW for a n3ds or could I try prefixing with a CW and maybe even putting in my o3ds serial... would I then be able to link my nnid from my o3ds on my n3ds since the serials would be the same? Would it work? Help please thanks

the banning is real for the ppl who have used the online services. what i dont get is why ppl would use the online services of an unreleased pirated game...either your dumb or just asking for trouble. & now whoever did it theyre blocked system wide, not just through the game's online services. think people.

it is thought to be temporary and if you have a different 3ds you could use marksteele's method to get rid of the 0102 error
