Gaming Has anyone gotten banned from playing Pokemon Moon online?

A lot of people in AUS and JPN have already gotten their copies. Stores were greenlit to start selling at 9PM, the eShop seed is updated at 10pm so these people should be able to go online just fine. Check FB, Reddit, wherever for the flood of "got mine!" pics... You'll see.

Unless you played the game online with other players that is the only way to get yourself banned.

Me too, I never touched my 3DS in a very long time until ACNL Update. I didn't usually play anything online, and the only times I played was with close friends I can play locally, so no big deal. The thing is that you don't know what you have until you lose it.

I feel the same way. I basically never use online features, but now that I'm banned I really want it back!

I just entered, talked to some people and disconnected. I played the day it leaked (11/8). Had no issues until yesterday's banwave.

For those who want to bypass the 0102 error code, please just don't do it, it's definitely temporary, be patient and wait 15 days. My friend was banned in MHX long ago and he had the exact same code because he played an unauthorized version online and earlier. Do not risk a permanent ban for just being impatient.

When trying to play online (tried Sm4sh, Bravely Second, Theatrhythm and Friends menu) I get the 002-0102 error, but in Fire Emblem Awakening, I can connect to SpotPass without an error (but there is no new content to download) and I can access the eShop too (I have to add that I haven't accessed it before I was banned and it did the setup the first time)

Jeez, not gonna say anything as I don't want to sound rude, but at least take your responsabilities for getting banned (to whoever used the CIA). I got banned as well and honestly I knew that Ninty was gonna do something as nasty as that, so I'm not really bragging about it, just kinda feel bad as my friend wanted a Popplio and such from me, but I'll figure it out as we can see each other irl.
Anyway, I still agree with people who say It's a temporary ban, I would never see a company as Ninty handling out permabans for things like that, considering how long emuNANDs have been out, or flashcarts in previous gen, or stuff like that. You just have to wait 14 days and see if it lifts up.
And again, we're talking about Nintendo, not some serious companies. They know they have customers who draw stuff like Mario getting pregnant and Yoshi's feet, so they know they would just lose their precious cringearts by firing out permabans

I have gotten banned for Playing Pokemon Moon.
I have a NNID Associated with my 3DS, I have never played Pokemon Sun or Moon online at all.
I have accessed the Friend Plaza, but it was always on local wireless and never online at all.
If I was prompted if I wanted to connect to the internet, I always declined.
Just having your 3DS's Wi-Fi on is enough.

Even if your system had it installed, if there's any trace of it left and your 3DS has connected to the internet, you are boned.
I contacted Nintendo and gave them the two error codes, and according to the specialist I was transferred to, it's a permanent ban.

I do not know if you can still get banned if you play when the game comes out, but they did state "any unauthorized game code" which would imply any .CIAs that are installed on your system that your account history on the e-Shop doesn't show.

The latest firmware must have some sort of snooper that cross-references every installed title ID on your system with your console's e-shop account, and if there's any mis-match, you are B&'d

This is a BAN WAVE, that means the bans are being sent out in waves. So if you are not B&'d now, you will most likely be B&'d in the near future. If you never get B&'d, go play your local lotto as you are lucky!
