Re Stargazy pie. Technically it is a Cornish dish and every region has its own oddity (though I don't find it offends my sensibilities -- can you really be bothered extract the meat from a sardine?). At the same time they do give the world Cornish pasties so they can stay.

As a general rule I don't. Haddock, skate and bream are my preferred fishes. Oily fish (which sardines fall into) are generally not my favourite.

Most hot stuff in glasgow tends to be sold at the Barras but never at 50p.
