PS1/2 Hard Drive

I bought a new 250GB SATA hardrive for my PS3 and it says its 72000rpm or something while the one already in the PS3 is 54000rpm will it still work ?

Also I was using this tutorial to change my harddrive but I just opened it up and mine doesn't have the metal switch thingy it just has the blue screw what should I do ?

that metal thing is just an arm to help you slide the drive in and out so it will be fine
