So I have some old WD USB HDD that has been working fine for months but the past few weeks it's been weird.

I have those hacked channels on my Wii menu that let me launch a game off the hard drive. I get them from a thread on here. I think they use the old versions of the USB loader or something. I don't know. Maybe they just use the CIOS so when I update that, they update too.

Anyway, what's weird is this.

Say I launch and play a game. Then I'm done and go to my Wii menu via the Home button. I go to pick a new game, and when I hit start, it does not load.

What could be causing this? This problem only started maybe two weeks ago. I don't know wtf is going on. It's a fairly old HDD (5 years) so could it be dying?

Thanks.

sounds like youre probably on cios38 rev13. its a known bug that you can only play one game then have to reset before you can play the next. update to rev14 and you should be fine.
