Hello everyone,

I have a modded Wii with a variety of backup loaders: Wiiflow, Coverfloader, and Configurable USB Loader. All three ran game backups from my hard drive without problems until recently. My friend and I were playing, when we accidentally pulled the power cord out while Wiiflow was running. After re-connecting the power cord, we discovered that the Wii is no longer recognising backups. I have also tried all backups via the Homebrew Channel.

Using both WBFS Manager and Wii Backup Manager I can see that all of my backups still remain on the hard drive, so as far as I can tell the drive is not corrupt. I know I should backup regularly but I don't appear to have a recent NAND backup.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

Thank for you quick reply. I have just downloaded the latest Windows version ("wit-v2.10a-r4118-i386.tar.gz"). My apologies but I have no idea how to use it, or to even open the program. I think I installed it? I ran the install .exe file but I have no idea how to access it - is it in the Start folder or within the extracted RAR folder? Should I back up my hard drive before running repairs or anything?

So I found the following on the WIT features page:

The commands »wwt ANALYSE«, »wwt CHECK«, »wwt REPAIR« and »wwt RECOVER« can be used for analyzing, checking and repairing WBFS.

But how and where do I use it? Forgive me but I'm not all that tech-savvy when it comes to Wii hacking.

Thanks for the links.

So I tried "wwt CHECK [wbfs_partition].." in CMD and got the following:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Reece>wwt CHECK [wbfs_partition]..
***** wwt: Wiimms WBFS Tool v2.10a r4118 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2012-10-10 **
***

!! wwt: ERROR #25 [CAN'T OPEN FILE] in AnalyzePartitions() @ src/wbfs-interface.
c#345
!! Can't open file: [wbfs_partition]..
!! -> No such file or directory [2]
!! wwt: ERROR #17 [NO WBFS FOUND] in AnalyzePartitions() @ src/wbfs-interface.c#
447
!! no WBFS partitions found -> abort

C:\Users\Reece>

Does the downloaded RAR folder need to be in a specific directory?

I then tried changing the root drive to G: (the corrupted WBFS hard drive) by entering "G:" but no luck.

C:\Users\Reece>G:
The volume does not contain a recognized file system.
Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the v
olume is not corrupted.

This really isn't related, but:

1) Lose the WBFS. It has been deprecated for YEARS. Try NTFS or FAT32.
2) You should really only be using 1 USB Loader. Out of your current setup, I would recommend keeping Configurable USB Loader.
