Hi, I have an NTSC wii with system menu 4.2u.
I have softmodded my wii, most things work great so far. I just restored the trucha bug on my system so I could load priiloader and back up my NAND. Unfortunately, in the process of installing/reverting some IOSs, I seem to have made some games unplayable from disc. Has this happened to anyone else? No More Heroes works fine, but some games (namely, Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort in my experience) won't work on the Wii. I can rip and play them from usb loader gx, but the Wii won't recognize that there's anything in the drive. Alternatively, they tell me I have to install a system update to play the game, even though I have the latest system menu. Will this brick my wii/screw up my homebrew? What IOS do I have to fiddle with to get the Wii reading these game discs again?
As I mentioned it's not an urgent problem, as I can always play from HDD, but I'd like to be able to play GC games, and keep the Wii working in case my HDD breaks down.
