Hacking hacked r4 1.09 firmware with edit skin and name

i have changed the name from "R4DS english version" to "M3DSS english version" und the version number form "1.09" to "1.05"

finale i have the embedded r4 skin replaced with the original m3 simply skin

workes fine with m3 simply and looks like an original 1.05 firmware ^^

Edit: strange... It's quite messed up on my M3 Simply

R4 only says '' English Version '' not R4DS English version. And it's spelled English not englisch. And I think you might have made a mistake although I can't test it. Only the other guy knows.

The first time I go into Multimedia, it loads moonshell fine. The second time I run it, all I get is a blank screen. Anyone else get this problem? I had to go back to 1.02 to get it working again.

Forgive me if I'm asking an old question, but I haven't been on these boards since December '06 and all of these Slot-1 cards are new to me. If an R4 is more or less a clone of the M3DSS why would you bother changing it to an M3DSS? Is there a slight difference in the firmware or something?

m3 simply is the clone of the r4, that's why updates are released earlier for the r4

In Europe it seems to be easier to buy a M3 Simply than a R4.
