In the below site, it's claimed that they got a freeloader that is capable of loading elfs from the sd card.

    Any information?

How is this any better than the Twilight hack/Homebrew channel?

Interesting. This post is pretty old. It's funny that no news-site has picked this up yet.
TikTok n' Botch is pretty much an unofficial part of Datel, so I guess it's true. This could be very good for people who need to recover their Wiis but don't have a Modchip.

But the freeloader doesn't auto-boot. Therefore it's surely useless if you've got a bricked wii.

Well for the apploader in the discs to run there is no need to set the disc to autoboot. As soon as the disc header is read by the wii, it starts running under the control of IPL.

My wii is bricked yet I can patch the freeloader's apploader and make it run in my wii... yet I wasn't successful in patching the system menu in a useful way.

By the way, even if it's pressed (freeloader) it won't run in 3.3... so it wouldn't be a complete unbricking solution. But for modded/unmodded wiis on 3.2 can be saved (with pressed disc for unmodded wiis of course)
