I knew that this has been discused a lot of times, and that redNAND has features that makes it superior to GW's emuNAND.
The question is...
Does redNAND totally own GW's emuNAND on all aspects?
If so, Why?

There are two things keeping Gateway breathing:
1.) Their flash cart is much more convenient to use than installing CIAs, and
2.) their cheat engine is truly excellent.
Other than that, A9LH + AuReiNAND makes Gateway look pathetic. But hey, Gateway's A9LH support is coming soon™.

EDIT: CFW owns Gateway because, to sound like an infomercial, it does everything Gateway can do and so much more™™™™™™™™™™™!

This post seems interesting. I wonder if I can use AuReiNand & A9LH to boot into GW Mode emuNAND for when GW releases their payload bin file. Hopefully I won't have to switch CFWs that arm9loaderhax supports like Cakes.

I have a simple solution; map the Gateway .bin file (probably going to be called launcher.bin) to a button on boot using Arm9select (AuReiNAND can be the default). That way, you can always boot AuReiNAND, but if you so desire, hold, say, A on boot, and BAM you're in Gateway!

Yeah. That's exactly I was talking about. lol But I wasn't sure if GW emuNAND or AuReiNAND emuNAND were compatible when you boot into either one of them. Sorry, I was just trying to clarify things, that's all. Not trying to be a noob here. xD

Also, let's define and set boundaries for what "redNAND" is, so as not to get it confused with CFW (they're very similar).

Realistically there's no real difference between RedNAND and EmuNAND other than personal preference and if you formatted using Gateway's formatter. RedNAND is cleaner and wastes less space though.

In theory, yes it's smaller, but what uses redNAND?

Isn't the only benefit to RedNand being that it uses up slightly (A few hundred MB less) than EmuNand? From the sound of that, there's no reason to be envious of RedNand whatsoever. If you don't have RedNand, you literally can set it up now. But if not, you're living perfectly fine with emunand. No regrets
