I recently looked this game up and I don't know much about homebrew, but it seems like some homebrew could be made that would work with the peripheral coming with the game. My question is could homebrew actually be made? Like more songs and stuff or entirely new games, would that be possible?

certainly possible, anything an official game can do can be done with homebrew.
but nobody can tell yet how easy it will be, might be so hard nobody will even think about trying it.

much more can't be said untill the game is actually released.

I was thinking about that too. However, we'd need some program to change the locations of the buttons that come down so that they go with the song, right? So yeah, that is where we truely wait I'm guessing.

Yea but if somebody did come up with a program to do that we could have any song we wanted... And that would be awesome. But I guess we will just have to wait.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
