Is this retarted?.
Actually I dont think I would be to far off saying this might be a top seller when it comes out.. With the fanbase as big as it is.. Having a portable one that u can play whenever u want and if the quality is good.. You could be walking through Wal-Mart and see someone jamming out some tunes on their DS...
It has a HUGE fanbase, though I've never played.
I heard a few people say they wanted the orange fleg or whatever its called back. I've never played except the GH3 kiosk at Walmart. It was ok but I wouldn't spend $80.00+ for any one game. I dont care how magnificent it is.
(So far I have no reason so believe this game is compatible with the DS phat so I wont be buying it)
I do want to get a music game for my DS though--Jam Sessions maybe?
I know nothing about music so the more educational music wise the better.
I've just play it for a few minutes last fridays and I must say it's great !
Good handling, good sound (even if the tracklist is a little to "streaming" for me) but i'll be a great game and could have the same fan base as Elite Beat Agents, which is for me the greatest musical game of the DS (and maybe at all...). Can't wait the final version. But you'll have to buy it as it don't work at all without the grip.
Might work.. the idea is not bad.. I'll wait for some reviews before I say something
It's gonna be awesome!
Like our beloved Iwata would say: "It's something new, its innovative ! Thats why it seems interesting to most of the people."
Sigh another thread about this.
Personally I think there's too much about this game that fails.
1. DS speaker is poor, so you'll need headphones and then that could be fidgety for some.
2. The loss of a 5th fret could make the game easier.
3. The buttons are too close together, and might be a shit trying to hold the DS & press the buttons.
4. Once all the tracks have been beat...then what?
5. Holding a DS dos not give the same feeling as a guitar. I also have to look at the top screen to see what to press and use the touchscreen to strum, not exactly rockstarry now is it?
6. Apparently there are "more than 20" songs, so less than 30. To me that's not worth the extra money for the game and it won't last as long as other games, to me I reckon people will play, beat it and that's that.
It'll sell well that's for sure, I'm sure a lot will enjoy it for a short time but I don't see it lasting until a sequel comes out like other versions of GH. I'd love it if it had something over the other versions to make it more worth while, something that the DS excels at and will extend the length.
What's new? What's innovative? I see nothing that hasn't already been done on something else in the last 10 years. Ok there's nothing like it on the DS (including the Ubisoft game) but its hardly "innovative".
expansion paks that stick into the microphone ?
LOL.... I dunno, it may be fun, but worth 50 $ ?
That's true that the 4 buttons make the game a little easier than the "Home version" but DS game don't have to be as the "Home Games". For my part, when i play it it was like I played EBA. Fun and addictive.Of course the DS is not a guitar and so what ? Guitar DS could be a good musical game and as I saw, it is ! 20+ songs with 4 difficulties modes will make a real challenge and don't forget the multiplayer. I don't want to make advertisement for Activision, but a good game is a good game. Not perfect, for sure but good. So wait the reviews or to try it in real life, before having a definitive opinion on the fact it's worth buying (because, you'll be forced to buy it to have it... no hacking this time )
i played guitar hero once its like DDR type stuf to me
but i agree that now rythym games are really popular now again i was addicted to the EBA and this prob wont disappoint as a rthym game
i think the song list will determine how good the game is
It would be nice if somebody developed a software that would hack the rom and changed the tracks , that way it would be definitely worth much more. Anyway I guess it won't be that bad, never played guitar hero tho, I can really enjoy some stepmania and eba tho so I guess it would be quite entertaining for me.
Also it works on phat units, using an adaptor
And maybe a homebrew version might pop up with simple support for new songs which would be quite awesome aswell.
whats next? Trumpet Hero
Just turn is sidewards and press the buttons like a trumpet
Woo Hoo Trumpet Hero lmao. I laugh at Ubisoft games
I think a karaoke DS game, a la Singstar could work :-P
Lawl, what next after that? DDR with fingers ftw
