Hacking Guitar Hero 5/6 microphone compatibility from Cfgusb

Hello frens, i'm making a guitarhero-only console for my GH-loving lady. Im having issues getting 5/6 to recognize the mic. Heres my setup:

cios:
Hermes v4: 222(ios38), 223(37/38)

Currently we can play GH3,GH4,GH:Smash Hits, RB2, and RB3 with no issues. Only GH5/GH6 will refuse to recognize the mic.

All the other gh games run on cios222 no problem, with microphone support
GH5/GH6 will not start with 222 but 223 fails to support a microphone.

My Question: Where can i find/install older versions of Hermes cios? Specifically, i need 223 (ios36 merged ios37) The only links i can find are for v4/v5. None of these include ios36 which is required for Gh5/GH6 USB support.

Modmii can get you hermes cios base 37+38 combined. But you should also try d2x cIOSs with base 57 and/or 56. If none of these work you can try d2x with base 38 or 58

Im already running 37 in 222, 37+38 in 223, 57 in 249 and 56 in 250. I’ve read that GH5/GH6 will work with 249 and they do, but the USB ports don’t function. Since the older guitar hero games will only give USB function on 37 (Hermès V4 in 222) I figured that RB3/GH5/GH6 need USB support from v3 (36+37 in 223) as neither games work with Hermès v5.1

It may cause more issues than it solves, but try d2x v10 beta 53 alt. Below is a good explanation of how it compares with beta 52, which is normally recommended

Don't use beta53 if you don't need port1 support.

r53 is not "the latest and better version", it's only a different version than r52.
r52 = no port1 support, better compatibility
r53 = port1 support, less compatibility
they are v10 and v10 alternative version. it's v10-alt and not r53-alt (revision 53 is the alternative v10 version)

You can also note that you don't need the cIOS with base56, as it also has less game compatibility than base57.

I'm only suggesting these because I can't find the v3 hermes cios you mentioned at the moment for you to test first

So now u have 3 different ways to get it to work, hermes v3, d2x v10 beta 53 alt, and specifically regarding sneek you should set up uneek+di, the neek2o version. Use modmii to set this up, neek2o is the default

Edit: you could also try the hermes 223 CIOS available in Modmii, which is v5.1 if I recall correctly, and u say you are only on v4. I would try v5.1 before trying v3 as well if I were u
