    Will this work on the latest firmware PSTV?

    Only if you have purchased Mimina Lyar Chronicles off of PSN. That is the only exploit game currently for 3.55 at the moment. It installs a TN-V bubble to the home menu.

    Just tested your method to update Unity for PSTV, and unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work for me. When trying to download the app, it fails when it gets to the download size of the host app's update.
    Eg. Terraria has a 54mb update, and the Unity update is 74mb. After resuming the download with the file mapped to a local one, it'll download 54mb, then fail. I did manage to get it to completely download, but the notification changes to "Waiting to install", so I tap it, and it launches Terraria, but doesn't install the pkg. Unity remains un-updated, and Terraria still shows the update notification.

    Edit: Got it working, quoting my method from another thread:

    3a) Next, go to 'Browse Data', and then in the drop-down box, click on 'tbl_appinfo'. This is where all of your application data and paths are. You can also add new tables into the database to create bubble data for your own bubbles!

    3b) Now go to the drop-down box again, and click on 'tbl_appinfo_icon'. Here is where you can create and customize new bubbles for the home screen. You can also change the layout and icons of existing bubbles, too!

    Thanks very much! :)
    I will amend my tutorial with this!

    I don't supply the info on how to do this. (It's a very brief tutorial at the moment.)
    If you want to know how to mod your app.db, then I suggest you visit Hackinformer's PlayStationGuide.

    Updated guide just a slight bit!

    I've highlighted key words which, if you hover over them with the mouse, will display the meaning of the words. :D

    P.S. If you want to try that yourself, then use this BB Code:
    Code:
    [acronym=meaning of blablabla]blablabla[/acronym]
    This will display the following:
    blablabla
    ;)

    I will soon own a PS Vita running firmware versoin 3.01. Thank you for your guide, I'm trying to understand what steps to take when I have the system, but I have a few questions:
    - Why is firmware version 3.15 the best firmware to run PS1 games? I've read something about "max compatiblity", but why is that?
    - I don't have a PS3, nor do I have a PSN account. I've read about a package installer menu which allows you to install DRM-free software, like demo's. Can I use this package installer to install a demo, then replace its files using the mail app?
    - Can I install emulators to this TN-V XMB environement, and possibly other homebrew? Can it be installed as "Vita bubbles"?

    I have never used XMB nor a Vita or a PSP. Thanks in advance.

    You must be very new to the scene! :)

    1 - 3.15 and 3.18 are the golden firmwares for hacking at the moment. Everyone puts effort into those firmwares the most.

    2 - You can install PS Vita demos, but not PSP demos.

    3- If you don't have a PS3 or a PSN account, then you pretty much can't do anything at the moment with the PSP part of the PS Vita. You must have a PS3 to activate your Vita, otherwise you can't open any apps other than card-based apps.

    Thank you for your reply. The device should already be activated, as it's a second hand. It might even have some demo's on it, or games. Who knows.
    Then again, I can probably find a friend's PS3 and try to sort it out like that.

    I'm looking foward to developing for this platform. Thanks for your help!

    I would like this stickying too. That and the TN-V on 3.55 guide too. Because both threads are doing really well.

    @Voxel Studios

    Considering the length and depth of the guide is it currently exists, I would strongly suggest you look into reformatting the OP with spoiler tags to make it easier to navigate. Not sure if gbatemp has the ability to link to differnt parts of the same post, but that would be useful too if so.

    Maybe look at the stickied noob guides in the 3DS Flashcards subforum for reference.

    Guide updated.

    For those who didn't already know, I reformatted the guide using several BB Code tricks. Now it's even more neater and easier to follow.

    Speaking of BB Code, when you type "ux0:Pspemu", you get a stick-out tongue emoji, don't you? Well, if you use [PLAIN]ux0:pspemu[/PLAIN], then it will cancel out the emoji. :)

    Much cleaner and easier to navigate now. Many thanks.

    Now if only we could get a sticky.
