Hacking [Guide] Install a9lh without buying anything in 11.2

You gotta ctrtransfer to 9.2 and then update.

Hyoretsu, I got to the "Delete the 9.2.0 ctrtransfer image .bin and .bin.sha from the /files9/ folder on your SD card" step and did that. Inserted the sd card back into my 3ds. The "Update your CFW SysNAND to the latest version using system settings" is just booting the 3ds normal and updating it like normal?

If you follow the 9.2 ctrtransfer and update to 11.2, it'll do the same thing as the backup. Excluding that you'll have to re-download any games/re-do any saves you had. You'll still have a9lh.

Dang. That sucks for my Pokemon Yellow game. But as for cartridges, I have PowerSaves so if that did anything to those saves I have those still. I am gonna see how well I can follow these steps and hopefully not break anything. Thanks for all the help!

Yes.

I did that. Got the back up and it was the right size. Deleted the 9.2.0 bin and bin sha. Put the sd card back in and tried to update and I get the update error. I know I have to be missing something incredible simple and obvious.

Sorry for asking so many questions but when i insert the url the screen glitches but the menu doesnt show up so i do as the instrucions say i continue like nothing happend i press select wait like 5-10 sec and the press A but nothing happens? Any ideas? oh and is there a way to restart from scratch?

Downgrade to 2.1? That means you don't have a 2.1 downgrade file in your "files9" folder.

A backup at that point wouldn't be of much use so you can skip that part. Or remove the 9.2 ctrnand.bin - backup sysnand - unmount sdcard - copy backup to PC - add 9.2 ctrnand.bin back and transfer it.

It's not necessary, because you'll restore your backup, which restores your tickets.

Make a backup of opt.bin. Copy arm9loaderhax.bin to your CTRNAND root through FBI.
