Fix Switch with bricked eMMC without working RAWNAND

Hi, in this short thread I want to show you how I finally managed to repair my softbricked switch. A year ago my eMMC chip was destroyed by an accidental software update, but unfortunately I wasn't aware of this at the time: I tried all of them Softbrick guides, but I never got a result until I changed the eMMC.

What do I do if I have a bricked switch?:
The switch must be unpached ✅
The Hekate payload should be bootable✅

1.Try the Unbrick Guide:
unbrick guide
-> if this fails when loading the backup due to errors such as "failed to init eMMC": there is an eMMC problem

Procedure in case of a faulty eMMC chip:
1.You need a working eMMC and suitable tools (TriWing and Phillips screwdrivers)
2.Open the console as shown in this video:
Switch Unscrew Guide
3.Detach the glued eMMC
4.Swap the chip

5.Try the Unbrick video guide again:
unbrick guide

6.If the system is running again: stick the eMMC with superglue or silicone and screw the device back on

Creits:
sthetix

Please notice that you will not able to go officialy online again, but you can play all games normaly.

Or, instead of watching an incentivesed video, you can just go and follow directions https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/guides/unbrick/#mmc-rebuild
The video guide has some useful links , tools, example emmchaccgen gui https://github.com/el-emmo/EmmcHaccGui witch can make things easy for some users, some windows scripts, .bat, for use with nxnandmanager useful for encrypting new partions new emmc .... donor files. Also in the suchmememanyskill (thanks ,great job) guide i can't see preparing the partions part when your emmc is dead and you need to replace and you don't have a nand backup. Is the first time when i like more the video guide instead of the writen guide. But always use the latest software versions off the tools.

He provides a createDirs script for tegraexplorer (https://github.com/suchmememanyskill/TegraScript/tree/master/scripts). I just didn't see a point in needing anything more than what the creator of the tools and guide says you need.

I do see that gui as being helpful to those who aren't familiar with cli, but I see it as a way to determine who should be performing this complicated and advanced set of steps. If you can't follow the guide and get it done, you shouldn't be attempting it.

Oh that’s maybe the wrong word. In Germany we say “Superkleber” so I thought I can translate this word 1:1. I meant a strong glue often used for this electronic stuff to attach the Module.
No not good, emi shield the metalic square part, thin double sided tape, then the emmc module don't use glue.... and if you need to remove again, disconnect battery, use a drop off IPA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopropyl_alcohol
