Is the order correct on page 8? On the very bottom where it says "Put the SD Card back in your PC..." It looks like those three bullets should be at the top of the page.

Eh I dont see anything on page 8 on the bottom.

hmm, smells like vulnerable IOS70 to me if all you did was install HBC,DVDX,Bootmii boot2 and Bootmii IOS >> cIOS38rev 14 using IOS70.

AmarokCorrect me if im wrong, and what do you mean with you selected 70 and then 250? You can only choose which IOS to use once in the installer

Yeah, you're right. 70 worked and then I went back into the app and used 250 (cause Wanin said something about using that as a cIOS).
To be honest, I didn't test the USB loader after only doing 70. Maybe that's all I needed to do in order to get cIOS installed??

The part of the guide where you load cboot2 to get rid of the ios249 stub.

In the picture it shows boot.elf and boot.dol on the root of the sd card.


I know the elf is the hackmii installer and the dol one is the wadmanager launched with cboot2 correct?

Wouldn't leaving both these on the card conflict with each other when running the cboot?

No. No benefit at all. N was just trying to get rid of the HBC, cIOSes and the trucha signatures.

Im tempting to update to 4.2 i have no idea why but its tempting for some reason.
I don't know why just seems like something to keep me busy for a little bit idk.

theses guides are for people who officially updated to 4.2 and need to get cIOS and trucha back in their system.

it just pissed me off that i read somewhere in the forums "oh noes, how will we update, waninkoko is gone" lol

uhmm i'm stuck it says i can't install hackmii because i have a secured something or its modded what do i do. and no i dont have hbc

so yea no one replyed to me yet so is it still possible for me to do this without homebrew channel or can i bypass the notice hackmii gives me

Sorry I didn't mean very bottom. I meant last text on that page which ends half way down the page. It says:
• Put SD Card back in your PC
• Make a folder called "Wad Manager 1.4"
• Place boot.dol in "Wad Manager 1.4" and place the Wad Manager map in apps (SD:/apps/Wad Manager1.4/boot.dol)

Shouldn't that all be on the top of the page above the following:
• Put your SD Card back in the Wii and start HBC.
• Click the Home botton on your Wiimote
• Click Load Bootmii

No, because Wad Manager boot.dol is in the root of SD first, then you use cboot2 to load it, uninstall ios249.

After uninstalling ios249 you want the boot.dol for cios installer to be in SD root, so to save Wad Manager dol you place it in that folder and move it to apps folder so you can install the loader wads later on.

What exactly does it exactly say when you can't install hackmii?

it'll say that there's no vulnerable IOS and that the installer can't continue

wat do u have to have to unzip the file because i did everything it said and it didnt work then i went on youtube and it said i had to unzip the file but apperently that cost money

If installing officially through nintendo won't you need to patch ios60 again to be able to play wiiware/vc from the sd card menu?

I know it really doesn't pertain to this guide so much but it could be added.

Why did you upload this to a file? Post the guide here in the first post, this way you can update it frequently and then upload it to a file incase someone wants it offline.
