The exploit does work and a HEN will arrive. If you want proof it works go run the hack on a non downgradeable models and attempt to dump the NOR. It works... don't try to flash it though you will brick

That is proof you can run code on the console from within the browser. That doesn't mean they'll be able to patch enough of the OS to allow existing homebrew and piracy (what I heard is likely is no piracy, some homebrew can't work and some could be made to work if you have the source code).
