Update #2 [19.11.2021]
  • Returned SSAO quality and reduced radius
  • Slightly increased sun / moon light intensity
  • Slightly reduced resolution of cascaded shadows
  • Slightly reduced distance of cascaded shadows and far shadows (For all presets the "Shadow Quality" option)
  • Increased quality of materials (For all presets the "Graphics quality" option except low. Thanks to this, puddles on the road turned on in rainy weather. Unfortunately, this had some impact on performance / resolution.)
  • Slightly reduced LOD distance for high preset of "Graphics Quality" option
  • Slightly reduced the distance of large objects for the maximum preset of the "Graphics Quality" option
  • Minimum dynamic resolution increased from 0.5 to 0.55
  • Added a variant of the mod without disabling the dynamic change of the GPU frequency ("WithDynGPUFreq" in title)
  • Various other minor changes
  • Added a couple of new screenshots showing puddles
Available in first post.

Is anyone having this issue where the graphics look crisp for one second after you unpause the game, and then it reverts to an inferior quality?

This is not a issue, dynamic res just works. When paused, the game resolution in background goes to maximum fore some reason (optimization). For me, not 1 second, faster. Look at the FPS, it drops for a while due to too high a resolution after a pause. Without the mod, it works the same way. Use higher clocks if you want higher res.
I don’t know how you managed to take a screenshot, I don’t even have time to really see it.

Which setting would affect the helicopter rotor blade speed? They look super slow for me and it makes them seem like toys.

Maybe I’m just spoiled by GTA V tho haha

All of these graphic options mods are AMAZING though. Thanks so much ECL

I have the solution. I don't use overclock but with the same mod for SA I follow a pc video on YouTube, the guy shows the best settings to run the game not on ultra but on better performance to not lose that much fps and to get the best quality.
It means, maybe you put some settings higher than the switch can support.
(some "ultra" settings are not useful and it's recommended to set on medium or high instead)

Update #5 [25.11.2021]
  • Mod updated for game version 1.0.4
    • Be sure to delete old exefs patch
  • Reduced image brightness
    • In the Switch version, it was slightly higher than the standard
  • Slightly increased drawing range of small objects
    • Adjusted by the option "Distance Scaling"
  • Slightly increased sun / moon light intensity
  • Increased Shadow Amount
    • Shadows will now be slightly darker
  • SSAO now uses Compute Shader instead of Pixel Shader
    • This slightly degraded the quality of SSAO with TAA anti-aliasing, but increased performance.
  • Increased car density for all presets of the "Simulation Scale" option
  • Filtering of Specular and Normal Map textures changed from linear to anisotropic
  • Anisotropic texture filtering reduced from 4x to 2x
  • Slightly reduced resolution of cascaded shadows
  • Increased drawing range of large objects
    • For all presets the "Graphics Quality" option. For example, low-quality HLOD buildings will now display less closely
Available in the first post
Perhaps the increase of vehicle density and drawing range was a mistake. Let me know if the performance gets significantly worse.

SSOA will leave a weird shadow behind the car when driving. Is this bug or feature?
Other than that. Awesome work!!!

//Edit: Same for TAA (all others in Antialiasing working fine)

It's just my guess but this this mod fits with docked mod.

I play with this mod without overclocking my switch and docked it's just Amazing!!! Handled it is worst than standard version of the game (resolution, weird shadow...) but interior are pretty close to docked mode Surprisingly!

I play the game non updated and the mod non updated also combine with this 2gb incredible mod : https://www.nexusmods.com/grandtheftautothetrilogy/mods/274

So now I fear to update because I'm lucky everything works well for me now

I put same settings on the 3 games.

Message to the topic author I don't know if you can do a special overclock mod for those who wants to play handled and a no overclock mod for those who plays docked. I swear with my settings it's really useless to overclock

It's not an SSAO issue, it's just anti-aliasing. With TAA, the developers clearly did not do anything and used the standard one, this problem even exists on a PC. And in many other games... I cannot fix it.

Is it possible to restore the grass or the volumetric headlights and streetlights? I wouldn't mind the performance hit honestly.
I cannot correctly return the grass.
Also I can't return Volumetric Fog, I don't know how the developers turned it off. I am sure not to do this because Volumetric Fog will have a huge impact on performance.

Oh I meant in-game screens, curious to see how big of a difference that 2GB mod makes
