There's a real law that is being loosely referenced. It has also received overwhelming support from women and especially female students. But as you might expect, the "tampons are being made available to 10 year old boys" is of course a complete bastardized twisting by MAGA weirdos of what the purpose of the law is.

In "normal people" language, the bill simply requires that free period products be made available in school bathrooms for any student who has entered puberty and biologically requires them (menstruation), but would otherwise struggle or be unable to afford them. Same sort of thing as free school lunches, or free tuition for public colleges. It's just a small smidgen of kindness to make life a little bit easier and more comfortable for underprivileged kids. So of course gross GOP/MAGA weirdos want to get rid of it and twisted it into something that does nothing besides exposing their own weirdness.
