Could be worse. My friend Kai got a speeding ticket from his girlfriend once. I'll let you fill in the blanks.

To echo everybody else, 120 isn't bad for a speeding ticket. The last one (of 2) I got a few years back was $150. Same reason as yours actually, was heading back from class and not paying attention.
