Goomba Colour new test build v0.4

By Dwedit

goombacolour.jpg
Dwedit has released a new version of Goomba Colour, a GBC emulator for Game Boy Advance. Included is a 32kb save version for those who can't use the 64kb save version, we've also included in the .zip a copy of Goombafront by newbie, a simple GUI for compiling a Goomba ROM.

Test build #4

Just for the heck of it, built of a version earlier than my most recent work.

There is also a version available for people who need 32k save size, instead of the normal version's 64k size.

@Maktub limited gba support was added a little while back, keep the rom small and rename to .bin.
This should have what you want:

Thanks a lot, FAST, I tried that already with the previous version and all I got when booting this program was "Game boy Advance" screen, then nothing... Seems like it has to be booted from GBA mode, and ezflashiv compact doesnt allow you to do such thing. Else it should work since it's under the supported 8MB :'(

EDIT:
Tried this version.
It fucken WORKS HOLYSHITFUCKYEASHHH *FAPS TO DEATH TILL HIS BALLS BECOME A SHRINKED PEA*
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FUCK!!!!!!!!!
ZELDA DX IS HOW I BECAME WHAT I AM!!! MADE ME LEARN ENGLISH AND ALL!!! OHGOSH... *CRIES AS HE FAPS*
caps off
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Is there any compatibility list somewhere?
I usually play GBC on my Treo 650 or on my NGAGE it would be sweet to actually play it on my GBA OR NDS (via a slot-2 flash, or even better with a slot-1 flash!)

Does this support the save type in Pokemon Gold/Silver? I know Supercard CF doesn't support the save type in Pokemon Firered/Leafgreen/Emerald.

I was able to get around the issue perfectly by running the above games on PSP instead of my DS however.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
