There's more than one cloud service, there's icloud and skydrive to name but a few.
basic economics state competition is better as it allows companies to improve their services in competition, which ultimatley is good for us the consumer

Isn't all business, hence why businessess get severly bollocked if they buy out competition in a plan to monopolize the market. Its illegal. Plus competition is healthy for the community otherwise there would be no sales, price cuts, bundle deals etc etc. Looking at your profile your 22/23 you should know all this by now surely

Its not personal, its just that I wondered how could somebody be stupid enough to not acknowledge that cloud-based service is a service, not some kind of unknown alien technology.
Saying that companies are trying to "steal" ideas by providing services is completely retarded.

Yusuo - Nope! I am way behind about Market business thing.

In the nicest possible way this is just common sense, i didn't take buisness or anything like that but your initial statement at your age makes you come across like a complete idiot

Would you rather have Dropbox be the most dominant cloud service? So that in a few years, they can inflate their prices, make you pay for features you don't need, & STILL you would use them, due to no similar alternative?

As someone else said, competition is healthy, especially for the end-users.

Why are you so upset about it?

To say Google is stealing from Dropbox really isn't accurate. That's like saying two oil companies are stealing from each other because they both happen to sell oil. They sell the same thing and compete with each other, sure, but neither truly invented that product; plus, that healthy competition can help keep the prices at reasonable levels for consumers.
