Tried Asterix and whatever the other guys name was?
It's quite early DS game, so quality isn't that great. But I have to say that's the first European game I liked on DS.

Viewtiful Joe, Castlevania, Spiderman , Super Princess Peach, Kirby, Yoshi Island (although I guess that falls under Mario). There was a Spongebob platformer/sidescroller game that was pretty decent too.

All of the Spiderman titles on the DS are worth playing apart from the first (very rushed) version. Spiderman 3 is the most innovative in that the fighting engine uses the touch screen extensively. For example a double tap to throw a web, moving the stylus upwards to do an uppercut, down to sweep, forwards to charge / punch and you can also manipulate your webbing swinging thugs around. This new control method takes some getting used to but once you have learnt how to use it, it really is excellent and improves the fighting making it feel more intuitive.
