Here are a few choices for you:
    • Chrono Trigger DS - (RPG) It's Chrono Trigger on the DS. The touch screen controls aren't too bad, either.
    • The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road - (RPG) It's the Wizard of Oz with a JRPG story. The music and graphics are amazing and the gameplay is pretty fun.
    • Super Mario 64 DS - (PLATFORMER) It's Super Mario 64 on the DS. The touch screen controls suck, so stick with the buttons.
    • New Super Mario Bros. - (PLATFORMER) It's like classic Super Mario Bros. except newer.
    • Giana Sisters DS - (PLATFORMER) A port of Giana Sisters for the DS. Giana Sisters is like classic Super Mario Bros. if you didn't know.
    • Plants vs Zombies DS - (STRATEGY/PUZZLE) A port of Plants vs Zombies PC. Music/graphics aren't as good, but it's got new minigames and the game is still fun.
    • Planet Puzzle League - (PUZZLE) It's Tetris Attack / Pokemon Puzzle Leage, except no mention of Mario/Pokemon characters.
    • Rayman DS - (Platformer) It's Rayman 2: The Great Escape on the DS. Controls are crap, but it's still fun.
    • Dementium: The Ward - (FPS/SURVIVAL-HORROR) Kind of like Resident Evil or Silent Hill if either were first person.
    • Dementium II - (FPS/SURVIVAL-HORROR) Exactly like the first game, except with more story laced in.
    • Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies - (RPG) Stereotypical Dragon Quest RPG.
    • Jam with the Band / Daigasso Band Brothers DX - (RHYTHM) It's like Guitar Hero with Midis and the controller is all the buttons on the DS.
    • Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! - (RHYTHM) You touch numbered circles in the right order, to the beat of some song.
    • Moeru Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii! Osu Tatakae Ouendan 2 - (RHYTHM) Same as the previous game.
    • Elite Beat Agents - (RHYTHM) Same as Osu! except with American music.
    • Rhythm Heaven - (RHYTHM) You do random things that take advantage of all of the DS's touch-based features, to some catchy songs.
    • Taiko no Tatsujin DS - (RHYTHM) You play a taiko drum with the touch screen to some beat. It's kind of like Guitar Hero except for a drum with only 2 kinds of hits.
    • Taiko no Tatsujin DS: 7tsu no Shima no Daibouken - (RHYTHM) Same as the previous game.
    • Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Dororon Yokai Daikessen! - (RHYTHM) Same as the previous games.
    • Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light - (RPG) Stereotypical Final Fantasy game that uses clean, cel-shaded graphics and chiptune music to envoke nostalgia.
    • You Have to Burn the Rope DS - (FINAL BOSS SIMULATOR) Homebrew where you have to burn the rope to win.
    • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Like normal Kingdom Hearts games except with missions and a main hub.
    • Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded - (ACTION-ADVENTURE/PUZZLE/RPG) It looks like a port of the first Kingdom Hearts, but it's not.
    • The Nameless Game / Nanashi no Game - (SURVIVAL-HORROR/FIRST PERSON) The Ring except with an RPG instead of a video tape and urban exploring.
    • Okamiden - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Sequel to Okami, a game compared to Zelda except you're a wolf all the time. Oh, and drawing.
    • WarioWare: Touched! - (WTF SIMULATOR) You play minigames and do weird stuff like connect a girl to a boy so they can get together or help a guy find LITERAL nose gold.
    • The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Often called a boat simulator. It's Windwaker in a new place and a boat you can't freely control. Also, fairies are back.
    • The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Often called a train simulator. More of the same as Phantom Hourglass, except Zelda is with you for most of the game.
    • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Kind of like Zelda with party members.
    • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time - (ACTION-ADVENTURE) Kind of like Zelda with customizable player character and customizable party members.
Sorry, can't think of any more right now.

Geometry Wars is fun. Arcade like shooter.
Space Invaders extreme is like geometry wars, but more simple.
I'll edit as I think of more.
