Ummmm..... POKEYMANS!!! Yep, that one will clock in around forty hours if you only do the straight-foward gameplay (meaning no side quests, competitions, etc.). I mean, you gotta catch em all, right??

Well, hard to say without knowing you or what your capabilities are. But, in general, these are a couple of games that can take a bit longer than others:

1. Advance Wars:Day of Ruin
2. Final Fantasy:Chrystal Chronicles:RoF
3. Hotel Dusk:Rm 215

Wouldn't Phoenix Wright fall into the mystery/puzzle category?

Well, 3 more that can take a while, and they all happen to be Japanese, but there are English patches for them:

1. Jump Ultimate Stars
2. Soma Bringer
3. Daigasso Band Brothers

Summon Night: Twin Age

It's a very straightforward RPG, you just go through each map and get to the boss map each chapter. So far, I've spent over 5 hours right now, (on chapter 17/20) but I still haven't beaten it.

I believe Etrian Odyssey I & II fits your bill.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 should be out soon too.

Any of those games will last you 'a heck of a long time'.

Namco museum. Try beating Pac-man.
jk

Try Etrian Odassey 2. I don't like it, but other love it.

Maybe Final Fantasy 4 when it comes out?

Summon Night:Twin Age is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Soma Bringer and Etrian Odyssey, as far as time goes. I finished Summon Night in a day and a half. SN is a good game with some nice graphics and controls, it's just not very long.

Lost Magic. It is an RPG but the learning curve is extremely steep. The game may only be twenty hours long but I spent twenty hours trying to beat missions 4-6. The tutorials are easy, but after that....*shudders*
