I dont understand why they even still sell plasmas what the benefits?
LCD/LED tvs use less power and have a better picture.
plus they dont burn
Because the colours are much more true to life and plasmas can come in sizes much bigger than LCDs. Of course, most people would be fine with the largest LCD TV that's currently available.

Personally I'd still go for an LED, even if it means losing a couple of inches of screen size. And if you're intending to play a lot of video games I'd remove plasma from the equation altogether.

Last month I was intending to buy a 40" 1080p LCD but ended up with a 37" 1080p LED for around the same price. I considered the better picture, thinner body and lower power consumption to be worth those three inches. True story that.

Why would you want such a big tv? Why no HD projector, or 45" 3D screen or something?

3D gaming isn't what it's cracked up to be. Why buy a 3DTV now when in a few years, it's going to be dirt cheap because they're going to get it right.

Look for either Samsung, or Panasonic. Those are great quality tv's, and they don't have the high price tag like Sony.
Well if you're waiting, wait another 25 years before 500" hologram platforms get cheap >.>
