ROM Hack Golden Sun black screen freeze on r4 wood?

To my knowledge I'm using the most up to date r4 wood. you can link the newest one and Ill try that just in case but whenever I load the game it just turns to a black screen.

highlight the game on the menu, press y, and y again, press R, and turn "cheat in game (AR)" to off and "reset in game" to off.

That is, if he was using the latest Wood firmware, but he didn't tell us exactly what version he was using so we can't jump to that conclusion so quickly

ya got a new rom, new firmware. still black screen. i have heard of a lot of people having problems with this game. surprised it hasnt gotten any attention here.

Reformatt your mSD with Panasonic Formatter.

Also, what version of GS are you playing? of [E]?

The U version. my card is fine. plays everything but this.

Then the only other thing I can think of is to reformat your card like what Etalon said.
And since you are using Wood R4 1.18 or 1.19, the black screen AP on GS should be fixed.
