I know you are trolling, but I am saying this for other users to better understand the situation. I am trying to keep the changes to the goldleaf source to an absolute minimum, because the more I diverge from the source, the more difficult and less likely it will be for me to pull in upstream changes from goldleaf. Asking me to to do bug fixes to core goldleaf code that xortroll wont accept will only make the fork more divergent and make it more difficult to keep up with goldleaf. The correct avenue is to get xortroll to fix the bug, then I will pull in the bugfix from goldleaf.
Except XorTroll can just say "yeah, well you're using a fork of my software and I don't support forks". I'm not trolling here, I'm just making it clear that this fork is for all purposes a sham to discredit XorTroll.

The only purpose of this fork, is to add NSZ support to it and pull in upstream changes, not to fix existing goldleaf bugs.
Then your response should have been to get the relevant parts of it (crashlogs and dumplogs), figure out where it goes wrong and open an issue on Goldleaf yourself. Not send other people to XorTroll with bugs in your fork.

It is not a bug with my fork, it is a bug with @XorTroll's code. The correct response is to convert the NSZ to NSP, install it with goldleaf, then report it to xor when it fails. Xortroll isnt taking any support requests from me, and I am likely banned from his github.

Wrong. The bug is with your fork since your fork is being presented as it's own "thing". That puts any onus on complaints towards you, not towards Xor.

Anyway, I have better things to do than... well, whatever this is, so goodbye gents.

So you finally realized how easy it is to destroy your trustworthyness by acting like a toxic imbecile. Some people just don't want to work with people because they'd just be a burden on them. You are that burden.

It is - by definition - a bug with your software, GoldBricks, not Goldleaf. So it is your responsibility to respond to bug reports (or ignore them, because in the end its software provided "as is" and you're not obliged to do jack shit with it) for people using that software. It is irrelevant that you're using Goldleaf as your main code base and only add your minor changes, the GoldBricks project is effectively your code base now, either you support it or you don't. But putting your hands in the air and going "yeah, we'll, sorry. That's someone else's problem, not mine" and waiting for someone else to fix the issue for you because you can't be bothered to maintain your code is a new low, even for you.

There is a simple solution. Prove reproduceable that this bug exists in Goldleaf and file a bug report. I agree that he is responsible for his hard fork though.

lol @ the trolls telling blawar to claim goldbricks as his own and fix goldleaf’s bugs. The semantics and gatekeeping with some of you goes hardcore. Develop your own pull and merge requests or keep being a banshee and waste your time attempting to troll. Thanks for the feature additions blawar.

Seriously I don't understand why blawar is getting all this hate. Instead you should be thanking him for his continued work on nsz. He only forked Goldleaf because users were requesting nsz support. Trying replicating the issue in Goldleaf then we will know where the problem lies.

the thing is Goldleaf works with usb install using Quark that is supplied and your's does not work with Quark even reverting to your 1st release so thus i cannot install anything and yes i could convert to nsp but then what is the point of your release to anyone using the windows gui installer Quark
just rename the .nsz like this

Terraria.nsz

to

Terraria.nsz.nsp

then install

na, still no joy, using his 1st release,
Quark connects but get

error 2356-0008 (01x1164)
Module: Goldleaf (356)
Description: Key Gen mismatch (console firmware is to low)

so dunno, just converting back to nsp anything i want to install if they are nsz, or dumping nsz file onto memcard via nxtpm and installing via sx installer

Edit: Seems to be actually this error since you say you're on SX OS
https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/issues/416
From that issue:

This is actually a confirmed and known bug.
Apparently ReiNX (and SX OS) "fail" when reading BOOT0 in order to check the console's key generation.

The cause of this is yet unknown...

i dunno because if i use XorTroll Goldleaf all is fine with the same .nsp, this is why i'm saying Blawar's fork doesn't work with either when both programs use Quark Gui

The thing is I saw someone on 9.01 with that same message using goldleaf. In his case it was installing Luigi's Mansion 3 converted to nsp. That one uses keygeneration 8.
That's why originally I thought it could be related to FW9.X but then I saw that issue that states older goldleaf releases do work fine but newer one has that issue on SX OS and ReiNX.

so to sum up and works for me using sxos and on 9.01f/w
XorTroll 0.7.3 with Quark works fine

but

BlaWar GoldBricks - 1st release 0.7.3 with Quark - USB connection works but won't install anything .nsp or .nsz
GoldBricks - 2nd release 1.0.0 with Quark - USB connection doesn't even connect

My eyes are bleeding from reading this shit's description. Take note folks, if you release a Goldleaf fork with the NSZ PR and a sane description, it's free github stars for you.

He specifically states in the notes that he has removed Quark integration with 1.0 and replaced it with NUT. I'm able to connect but no NSZ's will install lol

Man, I feel stupid. I'm not sure how to use this at all, since I've mainly sticking with Goldleaf 0.5 and Usbloader 0.9. I open Goldbricks while connected to my PC, have Usbloader 0.9 open on my PC, click into USB access via the Goldbricks menu and it just freezes. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

USBloader doesn't work with this one.
Just use original Goldleaf 0.7.3 + Quark.jar unless you want to install NSZ files.
