My last attempt, with the leg lifting meathod left me with a shorted dead battery, and no custom firmware PSP. I'm waiting for my new battery in the mail at the moment, but what tool do you recommend that'd be best for lifting up pin 5, and being able to bend it back down to un-pandora it when done hacking? Something non-conductive please.

Desoldering wick/braid to remove the solder, bend with pin/small screwdriver enough to lift the leg and then clingfilm the underside to prevent connection.

Do what you need (I suggest a single PSP before softmodding and doing more), remove the film, push leg back down and apply small bit of solder.

Just snip the lead and keep it permanent. The Time Machine's IPL will let you boot into your NAND automatically with a Pandora battery installed. It even works on a slim. Plus, if you brick your PSP, you don't have to fiddle with any wires.

I gots a sharp knife and cut the leg. I accidentally cut the whole thing off. So I spammed the gap with a normal wooden pencil. Worked for me, so I dunno 100% about everyone.
