when i wrote the globalsettings.ini section of the akaio wiki i asked normmatt directly what some stuff did. the romnametypeinlist is no longer used and appears to be something left in from an old setting. usefas1 is a setting that stores if a fas1 logo should be used after boot. this is something that is auto set depending on if a fas1 is detected. noremode3in1exp, 0 is auto 1 is always.

thank you for editing the FAS1 part.

0 stands for AUTO, but what does that mean? what is automatic?

plus, is there any differences between IRQ and SWI hook for softresetting homebrews?

I translated all the globalsettings... and along with my previous questions, I have a last one:

'''LockStartMenu = 1'''
0 is disabled, 1 is enabled? there isn't any info in the official Wiki.

sure.

now I'm only wanting differences between:
AUTO and ALWAYS mode in NOR (norMode3in1Exp)
IRQ and SWI hook in homebrew softreset.

IRQ and SWI are different ways of hooking the Soft Reset key combo.
Basically they're two different ways of having the card detect the key combo because sometimes certain homebrew doesn't work/dosen't work properly with one hook type or the other.

Note that this setting does not apply to you if you don't have a slot-expansion pack. If you don't know what that is, you probably don't have one.

AUTO vs ALWAYS in relation to the NOR, refers to a setting with GBA games when you run them natively in AKAIO along with a 3in1 expansion pack. The NOR is the memory of an expansion pack (like the slot-2, EZ Flash 3in1) which loads games of a larger file size. PSRAM is another area of memory which loads games of a smaller game size. When the NOR is set to AUTO, AKAIO will decide if the game is small enough to go into the PSRAM or have to be flashed to the NOR. ALWAYS will make is so that even the small games will flash to the NOR.
